Steven Lerman was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida. Mr. Lerman holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and a Juris Doctor Degree from the prestigious University of Florida located in Gainesville, Florida. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Florida in 1972.
In 1973, Mr. Lerman moved to Los Angeles, California, and was licensed to practice law in the State that. year. He later went on to be admitted to practice in the State of Hawaii, and also retains a license to appear in Federal Courts. Mr. Lerman has spent time as a Judge Pro Tem in Los Angeles Superior Court
Mr. Lerman has a rich history with the Filipino community. He has personally written numerous articles for, and has advertised in, The Filipino News. In addition, Mr. Lerman has represented dozens of Filipino community members, and Tagalog language assistance is always available!
In 1991, Steven Lerman was notably hired by Rodney King to represent him in a civil rights lawsuit against the Los Angeles Police Department. Mr. Lerman was at King's side when Mr. King delivered his now famous saying: "Can We All Get Along?" This was actually written by Steven Lerman!
